A crushing blow

Bad news. The monkey police have informed us that it is illegal for private citizens to possess monkeys. Only zoos are allowed to have them. (And, anyone fact checking this, I have no idea whether this is true, but it satisfied, although devastated, my kids). Now, onto reptiles. Jeremiah has decided that if we can't get a monkey, we should get a lizard. Not a big lizard, but maybe a small one. We would name it General Grievous. I think he would look something like this:

Anything can happen at this place folks. Stay tuned.

This is when I would have my fingers crossed that the reptile police would squash that hope as well. I'll stay tuned!

Oh boy. So sorry about the monkey. I really had my fingers crossed that the monkey police would say it was ok. Be careful on the lizard. My cousins' kids had some kind of reptile and it required feeding it live crickets, had to be kept at a certain temperature, had to be taken everywhere they went, etc. Talk about high maintenance. I highly recommend a Beta fish...a bowl, water, food, fish.

Do you remember the children's store that used to be in Staunton when you and your brothers were children--Monkey Business? It had a monkey in a cage in the store that you liked to "visit."
