Happy Christmas to all!

What a whirlwind the holidays are! Beginning last weekend, when my husband and kids made the trek to Pulaski for the start of the Christmas present opening, it has been crazy, non-stop Christmas excitement around here. We had wonderful Christmas Eve with Pots, Mimi, and Uncle Jeb, who brought his dog to pee on my floor. Riley and Jeremiah sang at the Christmas Eve service, and Ally, despite not being in the choir, sang loudly from her seat. At the end, we got to light candles and sing Silent Night. The perfect ending, or beginning, I guess to the next day. CHRISTMAS! Jeremiah woke up at 6:00 and was ready to start opening, but we convinced him to go back to sleep, and he did, until Pots and Mimi arrived from their hotel around 8:00. Then, it was Fun City, presents, presents, presents, and Christmas brunch. The next day, we went to Pots and Mimi's house for the big Christmas celebration, tons of presents, loads of cousin playing, and lots of good junk food and snacking, plus, a Heineken mini-keg from Jeb's new Beertender. We're back home now, recovering from all the Christmas cheer, and trying to play with each present, which has meant lots of opening boxes and assembling for Rusty and me. As I type, he is trying to construct Jeremiah's Lego Pirate Ship, which consists of approximately 750,000 pieces and (no joke) 47 pages of directions. Jeremiah gave up after about page 1/2. All in all, a wonderful time was had, and my kids are totally ready to do it all again.
