Does anyone remember this?

I happened to think about this the other day while talking to the beloved husband about our old trips to Virginia Beach when we were kids. There was this pancake restaurant called The Plantation that had these as the placemats. My brother and I used to pore over it, trying to decide which drink we would try first (when we became drinkers, of course!). And, to celebrate this, I'll tell you which ones I loved:
  • Grasshopper: I just thought it looked so pretty and green.
  • Pink Lady: Again, because of the beautiful pink color.
  • Angel's Kiss: I adored this name. I thought it sounded so glamorous.
  • Scarlett O'Hara: Because I had watched Gone with the Wind and thought it was awesome.

And now, the truth. I've never had any of these as an adult. Dang, I've got to get busy.I think I'll make it my summer quest, to drink every drink on the cool Cocktail placemat. Anyone else?

We have a week in Myrtle Beach to make good progress on your quest.
I totally remember both the Plantation AND the placemats.

I so remember, and fondly, our visits to VB and our meals at the Plantation--wonder if it is still there?
A grasshopper tastes like mylanta or a flawed mint--yuk!!! Can't say as I have had the others.

I do miss my kids being children!!!

Ok, I have to recant one of my statements. I had an angel's kiss on a cruise one time--it was yummy--good after dinner drink!

Wow---thanks for the flashback. Bring that placement on over any time, and we'll see what we can do about tackling them all, LOL.

BTW...that placemat is awesome. You could frame it and hang it on the wall like a cool vintage poster. Sadly, I don't think the Plantation is still in operation. Where was it? On the boardwalk?

I don't think it was on the Boardwalk. It was one street over, if memory serves.
